Gingham Gorgeousness

Dress: Zara // Shoes: Topshop (similar) // Socks: Topshop // Bag: Primark // Sunglasses: Primark

I am obsessed with Zara lately. The frills, the embroidery, the bows, the beauty; I want it ALL. Not to mention this gorgeous red gingham summer dress of my dreams. I've said many a time before that when it comes to exposing the ol' pins in summer, I am pretty self-conscious; however, this dress eases my woes. It's comfy, floaty and my perfect length - and it's now in the sale for 20 quid! It'll be a piece I take with me on my 'olidays and it's ideal for a festival too. An all rounder and an absolute wardrobe win!

I went all Sandy-from-Grease and teamed the dress with my go-to Topshop sneakers. I can't resist a little retro and the 50s is as good an era as any to land on! All rounded off (geddit?) with my new fave Primark sunglasses. These beauties were only £2! I cannot stress my love for Primark accessories enough.

The warm sunshine has been so lovely the last couple of weeks. I really hope it sticks around - I've got plenty more Zara summer sale finds to debut!

Disneyland Paris: The iPhone Edit

If you don't wear Minnie Mouse ears and pose in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle, then did you even go to Disneyland Paris?

Oh, hey there! If you happen to follow me over on the 'gram, you'll know all too well that I spent last weekend at Disneyland Paris. I seriously loved every second and definitely came over all fan-girlish when it came to that castle. My last and only other visit to Disneyland Paris was 20 years ago, and it felt just as magic being there even as an adult (although I do use the term 'adult' loosely...). So, I thought I'd share some of my top piccies from the weekend, all taken on the ol' iPhone (cannot imagine lugging round a big camera here, kudos to those who do!)

First things first, THE CASTLE. When my sister and I first arrived at Disneyland, it had been thunder-stormin' something good and proper. We still braved it into the park, and even though the sky was dull and drizzly, we couldn't hide our excitement to see the pretty pink palace against the grey! I absolutely admit that I reverted to full childhood mode walking into Disneyland. The above photo was taken on the last day in between downpours. When the sun shone it was glorious, but when it rained it, it bucketed!

I wanna take a minute to just appreciate the shops. There is a Christmas shop all. year. round. And it sells the cutest little ornaments! It's the little details that make Disneyland so magic, and the shops are no exception. I also couldn't resist an ice-cream from Fantasia Gelati. I went for strawberry cheesecake and it was delicious!

Park hoppin'! Was so fun spending the morning in Walt Disney Studios and the afternoon/evenings in Disneyland. We went on Tower of Terror three whole times and it is now my favourite ride ever. We managed to tick all the big rides off the list, and even had time to do the classics too (hello, It's a Small World! I dare you not to have that tune in your head for the rest of the day...)

Aaaand finally, Disneyland looks just as gorge at night as it does in the day. We watched the illumination show in awe! Was SUCH a fab weekend, I'm definitely dreaming of visiting the others now too. One down, five to go!

It's a Spring Thing

Embroidered Jacket: Primark // T-shirt: Topshop // Jeans: Topshop (similar) // Loafers: Topshop

Well, hey there! I know my last few posts have started with 'long time, no see', so that needs to stop. I pretty much just need to accept that my regular blog posts - or at least, semi regular for a novice like me - are kinda gone (at least for now) and this blog has become a little sparse. I think for now, it'll just be a place I can throw some thoughts/outfit pics etc. down if I fancy (aka have the time at the weekends if I'm not engulfed in the latest Netflix series - I'm looking at you, Line of Duty.)

So, on with the post! Spring is nice, isn't it? I don't think there's many a person out there who doesn't enjoy the sight of pink blossoms and blue skies (well, when the sun decides to show its face of course). I'm not the greatest at transitional dressing; going from winter to sort of warm is a weird one and I require weeks of adjustment before I'm finally ready to ditch the winter coat in favour of something lighter. Luckily, I purchased this dream leather jacket from Primark a few weeks back, and it's the perfect spring throw-on, especially as it has the prettiest floral embroidery detail. Phase one of the spring makeover complete!

I popped on my new fave jeans from Topshop (where else?! God I wish they were cheaper...) and a statement tee (which says 'Femme Forever' no less - let's hear it for the gals!) and felt ready to rock. The cropped length is a perfect choice for milder days and you can't go wrong with a statement tee. If need be, you can lose the jacket if the sun really decides to start shining. I think I can do this transitional dressing malarkey after all?!

My first seasonal look ticked. And maybe, just maybe, I'll surprise everyone (including myself) and get another spring appropriate look up soon. See you around, I hope!

Puffer Perfection

Pink Puffer Jacket: Topshop (similar) // T-shirt: Joanie Clothing // Jeans: Primark // Shoes: Topshop

I think it's safe to say that most of us have had enough of winter now. I don't mind the cold really, but this drizzly, snowy weirdness is not cool. Luckily, I did bag a super comfy and warm puffer jacket in the Topshop sale for £45 so at least the rubbish weather is an excuse for a new jacket. Not only that, but the pink velvet brightens up even the dullest of days.

I doubled up on the pink wearing THE t-shirt of the moment from Joanie Clothing. Brunching is my favourite thing to do, so this Brunch Club tee suited me down to a, well, tee. I've said it before, but I really love the retro vibes from Joanie Clothing and the quality of this t-shirt is really lovely. All topped off with my black straight leg jeans and new fave ankle boots.

Is it really already Sunday evening? I'm not ready for the weekend to end just yet...

All Black Everything

Coat: H&M (similar) // Jumper: Joanie Clothing // Jeans: Topshop (similar) // Boots: Topshop

Well, hello strangers! I can't believe it's been a whole month since I last blogged, the longest I've ever gone since starting it. Truth is, I've been getting frustrated; mainly feeling like I've lost my fashion mojo and getting angry at my very old and basic camera (savings for a new one are getting there). I was stressing myself out and had to take a little hiatus. I missed it though, and I've got to remind myself now and again that progress takes time, so for now I need to chill out, throw on some garms and just enjoy doing what I can whilst striving to improve. So here we are, my first outfit post of 2017 and first post of 2017 full stop. I can do this!

To match this grey weekend, I unleashed my dark side with this all-black get-up. Firstly, I have succumbed to the wily ways of social media influence. I have seen Joanie Clothing on all my fave bloggers and it worked on me fo' sure. After a browse on their sight, I fell in love with Joanie's vintage vibes and had to purchase this gorgeous 'maybe baby' jumper (along with a t-shirt that's coming to this blog in the not too distant future!). Sassy slogan + snuggly = a winner of a knitwear piece. I also picked up these uh-mazing embellished jeans in the Topshop sale (yes, sale! High five me!). Again enticed by social media (the lure of the Facebook ad to be precise) I was on Topshop.com and buying these denim delights before I could say 'monochrome'.

Finally, you can never have too many shoes, right?! RIGHT, exactly what I thought, hence why I bought these gorgeous ankle boots. They're so comfy, however I did need to size up even more than usual with these as they did come up small. I'm not too mad though as they are pretty super. I'm a big fan of the higher and more fitted ankle - I think they just look a bit 'neater' under jeans and with tights.

Today's grey weather certainly wasn't the kinda weather I enjoy in winter. I'm hoping for a bit more frost and a lot less rain to come this week!
