2015: A Year in Outfits

Is it really nearly the end of the year again!? It always seems to come round so quickly. I have a resolution list that I seem to be forever adding to - hoping I can achieve at least a few in 2016!

I think it's great to see so many 'round up' or reflective blog posts around this time. I love reading about everyone's achievements, highs and lows and of course looking back at some of the amazing outfits the talented folk of the internet have written about this year. I also enjoyed doing a bit of a look-back last year, so naturally, I wanted to again before 2015 was officially out!

This year, I got a new job in a dream company, and although I absolutely love it, it resulted in me being a lot more busy and I had to adjust my routines, meaning the blogging has slipped in places (weekend chill outs are my besties these days). I still enjoy writing, taking photos and of course, shopping, so this year, as well as staying firmly career focused, I also want to develop a bit more of a creative skill set, hopefully starting with a little photography course in the new year. I'm hoping that this in turn will reignite my passion for what I do here and improve the content for 2016.

Wishing everyone a fabulous NYE with lots of lovely things to come your way in the new year. For now, I leave you with a few of my fave outfits from the year gone by, see you in 2016!

Seventies Skirt

Coat: H&M (similar) // Top: H&M (similar) // Skirt: Topshop // Boots: Asos (similar) // Bag & Hat: Primark

I really love the seventies trend. It's so gorgeous and easy to wear - I definitely have not made the most of it. This outfit is one I wear quite often to work as it's a good mix of smart/cashj (minus the hat of course. Slightly impractical for the office, I reckon.). I completely adore this skirt as it's such good quality and goes with loads. I can whack a t-shirt underneath for a lazy day or jazz it up with a patterned shirt for something a bit more formal.

I've been wearing this coat every day since I bought it. I'm feeling super chuffed with it and it is totally my perfect coat (although slightly thick for this weird winter warmth we're having!). It's a nice and simple style so can be thrown on top of any ensemble - winner!

I'm still likin' me a high neck top. I rarely wear anything else (when spring comes, that's going to be a shock to the top-wearing system!) and speaking of rarely wearing anything else, these faux fur detailed Asos boots have really made a comeback to my regular wardrobe this season. I know they were a big hit with most of us gals last year, so I bet I'm not the only one feeling that way!

Can you believe it's nearly Christmas? I still have quite a bit to do with only a few days left. I'm going to have to brave the streets this weekend - wish me luck!

Coat and Scarf Weather

Coat: H&M // Scarf: H&M (similar) // Jeans: Topshop (similar) // Boots: Asos (similar) //
Bag: Primark

Ergh, this weather is far from ideal, and NOT the winter I had in mind! I want crisp, cold days with a little bit of that winter sun poking through, not this horrible damp business. I've been finding it difficult lately to take any outfit pics between the drizzle and general greyness, so apologies for the delay!

The only good thing about this weather, is that I can start wearing my lovely new H&M wrap coat. It was a steal at only £30 and will go with everythingggg; perfect for work and weekends. I'd been looking for a 'wear with everything' coat for a little while, so am so chuffed I found this! Accompanying the coat is a cute little H&M scarf - I forgot how much a scarf can add to an outfit and I love the reversible sides.

I had to bring out last year's boots of dreams from Asos. These were such a fave last year and I'm so excited to be bringing them out again. The faux fur detail and pointed toe just make them feel that little bit more chic. I'm also still enjoying my bargain tassel handbag from Primark.

It sounds crazy I know, but I can't wait for the weather to get a little more chilly (and definitely less wet!). Give me a freezing but sunny day over a mild, rainy one every time! And that would also bring even more excuses to bring out alllll the jackets, scarves and general layering. Here's hoping!

Until next time :)
