Hey Folks

Shirt: Asos // Denim Dress: Asos // Shoes: Primark // Watch: Olivia Burton (similar)

For a seventies/folksy outfit, where better to photograph it than a rapeseed field? I felt it just oozed boho!

Denim dresses and skirts have been everywhere and this one is perfect for every day. I do love a bit of layering and this dress can be easily layered over any sort of top - I can even see this lasting me through 'til winter.

I'm a sucker for a patterned shirt, so once I'd spotted this on Asos I had to have it! The floral/paisley pattern is beautiful and as you can see, a few little birds even make an appearance! I finished the outfit off with these amazing seventies-esque Primark shoes. At £14, they were SUCH a find! So comfy too!

After wearing a more folksy outfit and wandering through a field, I can't help but feel a little bit excited for the festival season! I'm attending V again this year, but if time and money permits, I know I'll be easily swayed into visiting a daytime one too! We'll see!

Afternoon Tea at Huffkins, Witney

If Bank Holidays are made for anything, it's indulging, and what better indulgence is there than afternoon tea. I'd never actually experienced a full on afternoon tea until yesterday and oh my, it was pretty special.

Huffkins bakeries are based in the Costwolds - I think there's five in total - and they are so worth a visit if you happen to be around Oxfordshire. You can choose from a selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes and can even add some celebratory cava for a little extra and everything we had was sooo yummy. At £15.95 per person, it is an absolute afternoon tea bargain! I won't ramble on anymore, so I'll leave you with a few photos -

Keeping Comfy

Jeans: Topshop // Shoes: Topshop // Top: Zara (similar) // Backpack: Primark

Ben and I live about an hour apart and we take it in turns to visit each other each weekend. When it comes to packing every other Thursday evening, I've got reeeaally lazy. We tend to either chill the heck out (thank God for Netflix and 24 hour McDonald's, amirite?!) or have little day trips - comfy attire just seems most sensible.

I've professed my love for these Mom jeans quite a bit since I bought them and they are my absolute go to at the moment. I thought I'd give them a bit of a Parisian twist with this cute Zara tee and kept the look summery with my white sneakers. My bargain nineties backpack also accompanied the outfit; it's perfect for all my essentials and bulky camera (which is a big box ticker!).

I have been so busy lately and I'm going to be honest, I feel the blog has slightly slipped the last few weeks so I do apologise! I haven't felt the most confident in what I've been wearing and feel like time slips away so easily which means taking photos/editing/posting becomes more difficult. BUT, it is my birthday this week, and with a birthday comes pure childlike excitement, family time and CAKE so I'm going to use it as fuel to kick-start my passion for this blog (even if I am slightly sad about turning 24!). I absolutely love writing this every week so want to make sure I do find the time to create as good posts as possible :)

Phew! That got a bit deep didn't it? But good to get these things out, eh? Hope you enjoy your weeks everyone!

Daytime Dungarees

Dungarees: Asos // Shirt: Topshop // Sandals: River Island via eBay

After wearing a pair of more casual dungarees a few weeks ago and liking it A LOT, I was determined to then purchase a pair that could be dressed up a little. This Asos beauty's a piece that can be dressed up or down and on this occasion I did opt for a more daytime friendly look - watch this space though, I'm sure a dressier look will follow ;). I love the slightly looser trouser style; I'm a big mom/boyfriend style advocate (especially as a gal with, let's say, not-exactly-slender pins!).

This shirt was a bargain find in the latest Topshop sale (my love for their sales will never fade) and I popped it on underneath the dungarees for a more jazzy feel. I do love a good pattern and haven't indulged in a while so it was nice to have a change!

I rounded the outfit off with these 70s-esque sandals to bring a bit of boho. They're old faves that were bought off eBay for a steal. They are sooooo comfy; perfect for summery days out.

No matter how they're styled, there's always something about dungarees that brings the fun factor - any item of clothing that brings you back to childhood is alright with me! Asos, you've made a real winner!
