The Bright Bag

Shirt: Topshop // Jeans: Topshop // Shoes: River Island via eBay // Bag: Topshop // Necklace: H&M // Watch: Olivia Burton

On Saturday, Ben and I headed to Oxford for a sunny stroll around parts of Oxford University. It was so beautiful - I love Oxford architecture and history.

I went for a comfy/casual look with this amazing baggy shirt from Topshop and classic black skinnies. I always say you can't go wrong with a white shirt and this is the best one I've ever purchased! The cotton is lovely and light for a sunnier day.

I injected a bit of bright with this beautifully detailed, tribal style necklace from H&M which I spotted in store the other day. I haven't worn statement jewellery in ages - I forgot how much I love what chunky necklaces can do to an outfit!

Finally, this bright orange bag is a perfect accompaniment for a plain ensemble. I saw this one and had to have it! It's one that will be perfect for summer, day or night as it's a practical size for both!

Now that the sun is showing its face more and more, I'm so looking forward to wearing more bright colours. I hope you've all had lovely, sunny weekends!

Jumper: Topshop // Jeans: Topshop // Shoes: Topshop // Bag: H&M // Sunglasses: Primark

The English sunshine spoiled us with its presence last week but inevitably Sunday turned a little chillier. After having a supremely lazy weekend, I followed suit and put on a very slouchy outfit.

I'm such a big fan of these mom jeans! I definitely need to invest in more styles of jeans other than skinnies as I love that they add something extra to an outfit. I've also been wearing these Topshop sneakers A LOT. So comfy and cool and an amazing consolation for those of us on a budget and Stan Smiths are just a little out of price range!

Of course, no slouchy outfit is complete without a baggy jumper and this one has found its way into the Topshop mid-season sale - winner! I then added the leopard print bag for a bit of needed texture and my new fave Primark sunnies for a hint of retro.

Despite a chillier day on Sunday, I am loving the spring sunshine so far! Next weekend I will definitely get out it in properly instead of being so 'slouchy'!

Into the Blue

Top: Topshop (similar) // Dress: Asos // Shoes: Primark // Sunglasses: River Island (similar)

Another weekend full of sunshine, awhhhyeaaaah! Brighter days always put a big smile on my face and force me out the house too! If only for a little wander around the lovely villages of my home county, Berkshire.

I realised the other day that I hadn't worn much other than jeans in months, so raided the wardrobe for something a bit more feminine. This beautifully embroidered velvet Asos dress hadn't been worn in a while (see another look here) but I thought it'd be a perfect little number for that in-between sort of temperature. I popped this high neck checked top underneath to give the look a sixties/seventies vibe. The River Island cat-eye sunglasses also add a splash of glamour!
These patent heels were an amazing find in Primark (seriously, I can't stay away!). I've been lusting over the Orla Kiely for Clarks collection, but they're still just a bit out of my usual price range *sob*, so these chunky beauts are a good consolation.

After wearing this dress today, I'll be on the hunt for a few more leg bearing garms, especially if we are to expect more spring sun - let's keep our fingers crossed!

Dungarees and Blossom Trees

Dungarees: Primark // Shirt: Topshop (similar) // Shoes: Topshop // Sunglasses: Primark // Watch: Olivia Burton (similar)

How nice has Bank Holiday Monday been!? Spring has sprung and I couldn't wait to get that sunshine on my face. I had to think about a suitable spring outfit and after seeing so many gorgeous outfits involving dungarees, I had to give it a go myself!

Good ol' Primark comes up trumps again with these denim dungas. Comfy, casual and instantly transporting to childhood! I'm definitely looking for a smarter pair for a more sophisticated take on the trend too.

I haven't worn this Topshop shirt in a little while and thought the pussy bow and floral print would give a nice vintage twist to the look. I topped it off with my white sneakers and rounded shades to carry on the retro feel.

I also have to mention how much I adore my Olivia Burton watch! It's barely left my wrist since Ben bought it for me for Christmas; so simple and beautiful. I have a new found respect for time pieces and have a sneaky suspicion that I'll be putting another on my birthday list!

I do love all the blossoms, daffodils and bluebells that are popping up now it's springtime; such a beautiful season! I hope you've all had a lovely Easter weekend and have stocked up on alllll the chocolate!
