Talking Scents

...And a bit of nonsense I'm sure ;)

After writing my very first beauty post in January and rather enjoying it, I've decided to talk about my favourite fragrances this week, with one to suit every budget.

This Marks & Spencer beaut is only £7.50 for 25ml and is one of my favourite fragrances! With notes of wild orchid, ginger, orange and vanilla, this spicy and strong scent rivals that of top designers. In fact, I normally use high street fragrances for every day use, but it's SO nice that I find myself saving it for even more special occasions!

Is there a lady who doesn't love Beyonce? (No, obvs). And now she's making my perfume dreams come true. Moving up the scale slightly, this particular scent from the Heat range is fresh, floral and fruity; perfect for day to day. It's on offer for £14.99 at the moment for 100ml, which is amazing value!

At £28.50 for 30ml, this gorgeous and girlie Nina Ricci scent is approaching splurge territory, but it's still a reasonable price for a premium product. If this beautiful, sculpted bottle doesn't entice you, then maybe the sweet scent of red toffee apple, vanilla and praline will! It's actually more subtle than the phrase 'toffee apple' suggests and is a scent that can easily be worn day or night.

Tresor; Midnight Rose is not your every day scent for us gals on a budget - £38.50 for 30ml. That being said, having a designer perfume for those special occasions and parties is a must for most of us. It's a gorgeous, feminine scent with something for everyone - I wrote about it in my January beauty post here!

Last but certainly not least, this Givenchy fragrance is my favourite of them all and has been a signature scent of mine since I was 17. For girls who like their perfumes a little more on the musky side, this is ideal. Its floral and aromatic tones make it perfect for those special nights out and despite the pricier tag of £36.50, it can be used sparingly as it's a strong, long-lasting perfume.

Whether you're shopping on a shoestring or fancy a splurge on a premium perfume, there are some beautiful fragrances out there!

What's your favourite scent?

  3. I love Nina by Nina Ricci, but it's one of the most expensive perfumes in Mexico.
